Are you passionate about working with young students and helping them reach their full potential? Zest Education is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team at a primary school in Lichfield. This is a full-time role starting in January 2025.
Our partner primary school in Swadlincote is known for its welcoming and inclusive environment where every student is supported to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. With a strong community ethos and focus on providing a well-rounded education to all our students, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives.
The school value the professional development and well-being of all staff, offering ongoing training opportunities, mentorship programs, and a supportive work culture to ensure that every staff member feels empowered to excel in their roles. You will work closely with experienced teachers and gain valuable classroom experience- developing your skills and knowledge in the field of education.
Roles:
– Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons for Year 2 students
– Support individual students with their learning and development
– Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
– Contribute to the overall well-being and pastoral care of students
– Assist with classroom management and behaviour management
Responsibilities:
– Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional help
– Prepare and organize classroom materials and resources
– Assist with marking and assessing student work
– Support the teacher in implementing educational programs and activities
– Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other staff members

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
