Year 3 Teacher – Full-Time | Long-Term Role

Location: South Birmingham
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Long-term (until July 2026, with potential extension to December 2026)


About the Role

Zest Education is recruiting for a Year 3 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in South Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) who is passionate about inspiring young learners and delivering high-quality education.

As a Year 3 Teacher, you will take full responsibility for a Key Stage 2 class, planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners. You will be expected to create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and creativity, while ensuring pupils make strong academic progress.

The role also involves:

  • Differentiating lessons to support a range of abilities, including pupils with SEND
  • Using formative and summative assessment to track progress and inform planning
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Managing behaviour effectively using consistent strategies aligned with the school’s policies
  • Contributing to the wider school community, including attending staff meetings and supporting enrichment activities

This is a full-time position starting in January 2026 and continuing until July 2026, with the potential to extend until December 2026.


Key Responsibilities

  • Teach a Year 3 class within Key Stage 2
  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons
  • Manage classroom behaviour confidently and effectively
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupil progress
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 3 preferred)
  • ECTs welcome to apply
  • A creative, engaging, and confident approach
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies
