Year 3 Teaching Assistant – Full time

Job Description

Location: A vibrant primary school just outside Erdington

Start Date: As soon as possible

Zest are working with a school, nestled just outside the bustling community of Erdington, it is dedicated to fostering a nurturing and dynamic learning environment for their students. Zest are now looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join and help continue the schools tradition of excellence.

Position Overview: Zest Education are seeking a motivated and caring individual to support a Year 3 class, this role would be to start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality education and ensure every child reaches their full potential. This is a full-time position that requires a passion for working with children and a commitment to making a positive impact on their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Support individual students and small groups with their learning.
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Provide support for students with special educational needs.
  • Assist with classroom management and organization.
  • Participate in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and carers.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • A Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Pay will start from £75 per day based on references and experience.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
