Position: Year 4 Classroom Assistant
Location: Yardley

As they continue to grow, they are looking for a dedicated and passionate Classroom Assistant to join the Year 4 team.

Role Overview:

Zest education are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Classroom Assistant to support our Year 4 class starting in September 2024. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to enhance the learning experience of our pupils, providing both academic and pastoral support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to pupils who need additional help.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Prepare and organise teaching materials and resources.
  • Support pupils with their social and emotional development.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of school events and activities.
  • Supervise pupils during break times and on school trips.
  • Contribute to the overall well-being and safety of the pupils.

Person Specification:

  • Experience working with primary-aged children, preferably within an educational setting.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting children’s development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Basic knowledge of the primary curriculum.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are desirable but not essential.
