Year 5 Teacher – Part-Time – Edgbaston, Birmingham

Zest Education is currently recruiting a passionate and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Edgbaston. Key Responsibilities

As a Year 5 Teacher, your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality, creative lessons that meet the National Curriculum requirements.

  • Assessing student progress, marking work, and maintaining accurate records.

  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.

  • Creating engaging, collaborative lessons that promote teamwork and communication.

  • Liaising with parents, senior leaders, and external bodies to discuss student progress.

  • Providing individualised support to meet the needs of all learners.

Requirements

To be successful as a Year 5 Teacher, you must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent experience teaching in a primary school.

  • A strong understanding of the Year 5 curriculum and Key Stage 2 learning objectives.

  • Strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.

  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
