Zest Education is currently recruiting a passionate and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Edgbaston. The ideal Year 5 Teacher will be someone who can inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils through engaging lessons that foster curiosity and a love of learning.
As a Year 5 Teacher, your day-to-day duties will include:
Planning and delivering high-quality, creative lessons that meet the National Curriculum requirements.
Assessing student progress, marking work, and maintaining accurate records.
Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
Creating engaging, collaborative lessons that promote teamwork and communication.
Liaising with parents, senior leaders, and external bodies to discuss student progress.
Providing individualised support to meet the needs of all learners.
To be successful as a Year 5 Teacher, you must have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent experience teaching in a primary school.
A strong understanding of the Year 5 curriculum and Key Stage 2 learning objectives.
Strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
