Zest Education is excited to announce a fantastic job opportunity for a Year 5 Teaching Assistant to join a wonderful school in Stourbridge. As a teaching assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Year 5 students in their academic and personal development.
This two-form entry school are continually working to improve the school for both staff and pupils, ensuring that their curriculum is engaging and inclusive so that all children, no matter their needs and abilities, can succeed. They have worked hard to develop an engaging and thought-provoking curriculum and are always looking to find new and exciting ways to teach it.
To be successful in this position you should:
– Possess a relevant educational background or qualification in the field of education.
– Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents.
– Show a genuine passion for helping students learn and grow academically and personally.
– Have the ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and contribute positively to the overall learning environment.
– Exhibit patience, empathy, and understanding towards students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities for this role will include:
– Assisting the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons
– Providing one-to-one support to students who may require additional help
– Supporting students with special educational needs
– Supervising students during break times and school activities
– Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, starting from December 2024 until the end of the academic year in July 2025. If you are passionate about education and making a difference in the lives of young learners, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity with zest Education.
Pay will begin from £77.00 per day and will depend on experience and references.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
