Year 6 Class Teacher

Job Description

Are you a qualified teacher looking for a new and exciting role? Zest education have the perfect opportunity for you! We are looking for a year 6 teacher to join our team. This role will start as soon as possible and continue until the end of the academic year on a part time basis.

As a year 6 teacher you will be expected to teach the current curriculum to a high standard and support the students in preparing for their SAT’s. As they prepare to make the move to high school, setting high classroom and behavioural standards is important to help prepare them for this move. It will be your responsibility to monitor progress and report to the necessary person. One of the benefits of this role is that there will be no planning required so you will be able to place more concentration on the students ensuring that they get the support and assistance they need.

If you are passionate about making a difference to young people’s lives, then this is the perfect opportunity for you! As this is a part time role it means that you will have more flexibility and lead more of a balanced life to still spend time doing the things that you love outside of teaching.

As a successful candidate you will be required to hold an enhanced DBS that is on the update service or be willing to obtain one and a Qualified Teacher Status. You will have to have great communication skills and the ability to adapt depending on what the children’s needs may be. A passion for teaching children and encouraging their development is essential.

If you are interested in this position or want to find out more, email Maisie at maisie@zesteducation.co.uk or ‘apply for job’ at the top of the page to submit your details.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.

The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
