Job Description: Zest are seeking a passionate and dynamic Year 6 Class Teacher to join the school in September. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and preparing students for their transition to secondary school. They will work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider community to support the holistic development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students in Year 6.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Prepare students for key assessments, including SATs, and facilitate smooth transitions to secondary school.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
  • Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably in Year 6.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the wider school community.
