Zest Education are currently seeking a dynamic and hardworking Year 6 Teacher to join a primary school based in Highters Heath on a long-term basis. You will work part-time (3 days a week) beginning in January 2025 and continuing until the end of the academic year.

The goal of this school is for students to become self-sufficient and achieve their greatest potential. They aim to provide a safe and nurturing environment that can still be stimulating and challenging. In addition to providing an engaging curriculum, the ideal applicant should be able to think creatively and foster this type of environment.

As a Year 6 Teacher, you will be required to:

  • Create and present lessons that are interesting and dynamic, adhering to the national curriculum and the school’s educational approach.
  • Encourage students to be self-assured and independent learners.
  • Establish and oversee an inviting and encouraging environment.
  • Mark work and keep track of homework, offering helpful criticism and establishing goals for future development.
  • Create effective working relationships and communicate with parents, leaders, and governing bodies.
  • In accordance with the policies and procedures of the school, set high standards for behaviour and academic performance.

You must have:

  • You must hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have a strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  • Experience working within a relevant educational setting and age group is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and listening.
  • Capacity to function well and cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Have a genuine desire to help children thrive and reach their goals.
  • An enhanced DBS or the willingness to obtain one.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
