Zest Education London is working in partnership with a secondary school in West London to appoint a dedicated Year 7 Pastoral Manager for a September 2025 start.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting students as they transition from primary to secondary school, ensuring they are well-cared for, motivated, and supported both academically and emotionally.

The Role

As Year 7 Pastoral Manager, you will:

  • Provide pastoral care and guidance for all Year 7 students, supporting their transition from primary school

  • Be the first point of contact for behaviour, welfare, and attendance concerns

  • Work closely with the Year 7 tutor team, SEND staff, and senior leaders

  • Monitor student progress and implement intervention strategies where necessary

  • Promote positive behaviour, high attendance, and emotional wellbeing across the year group

  • Develop strong relationships with students, families, and external agencies

  • Experience in a pastoral, safeguarding, or student support role within a school or youth setting

  • A calm, empathetic, and approachable manner

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider pastoral and safeguarding team

  • A genuine passion for supporting young people during a key phase of their development
