Year 7 Pastoral Manager – September 2025 Start

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Zest Education London is working in partnership with a secondary school in West London to appoint a dedicated Year 7 Pastoral Manager for a September 2025 start.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting students as they transition from primary to secondary school, ensuring they are well-cared for, motivated, and supported both academically and emotionally.

As Year 7 Pastoral Manager, you will:
Provide pastoral care and guidance for all Year 7 students, supporting their transition from primary school
Be the first point of contact for behaviour, welfare, and attendance concerns
Work closely with the Year 7 tutor team, SEND staff, and senior leaders
Monitor student progress and implement intervention strategies where necessary
Promote positive behaviour, high attendance, and emotional wellbeing across the year group
Develop strong relationships with students, families, and external agencies
Experience in a pastoral, safeguarding, or student support role within a school or youth setting
A calm, empathetic, and approachable manner
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider pastoral and safeguarding team
A genuine passion for supporting young people during a key phase of their development
A nurturing, values-driven culture focused on kindness, aspiration, and inclusion

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
