Zest Education is working closely with a wonderful primary school in Cannock who need a compassionate and reliable Teaching Assistant (TA) to work one-on-one with a year 5 child. This is a part-time role due to start in October with the look to end in December 2023. This role may be extended for the ideal candidate.

About the school

This two-form entry school is a popular choice in Cannock and has close connections with the local community and strive to give their pupils a broad and balanced curriculum which allows for endless opportunities, supporting their educational, social and emotional growth.

The role

The successful candidate will be required to provide extra support to the year 5 child, to successfully build a meaningful relationship with them as well as holding strong behaviour management skills to ensure they remains on task. Holding the highest safeguarding standards is essential in this role as short breaks outside the classroom may be required. Previous experience within a year 5 environment is desirable however not essential.

The successful candidates will:

Pay is dependent on experience: £72-£85 per day.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: level 3 qualification in child care or relevant subject or at least three months experience working with children that we can reference.

The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
