History Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education are looking to recruit a History teacher for a school located in Sutton Coldfield. The role is full time and start January 2024, until at least Easter, with a possible extension if the fit is right.

The school is a fast paced high achieving secondary looking to maintain their already good standards. They believe in trying to help and support each student into becoming promising young adults. It is also situated in a popular area, so is easily accessible by private or public transport.

The ideal candidate will have excellent subject knowledge, enthusiasm in the role, and a passion for making a difference.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for History and a substantial knowledge of the subject across KS3 and KS4
  • A strong desire to be part of the wider department
  • The ability to control the classroom and the behaviour of the students
  • A creative mind with the ability to adapt lessons as and when needed to suit the needs of the students.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
