Do you have recent experience working with children who require 1-1 support? If so, Zest has the perfect opportunity for you. Zest Education are working closely with a primary school in Erdington to recruit for a 1-1 support worker. This role will involve providing support to a child in Year 3 who has mild ADHD and behavioural problem. This role is on a full-time basis and is to start in September 2022 for a minimum of 2 terms.
The school is a two-form entry primary school with a growing reputation in the area. The school aims to maintain a relaxed and caring atmosphere for all children to learn in. The school also works hard to promote high expectations within all areas of the school.
The ideal candidate must be someone who has experience in strong behaviour management as well as being someone who able to build relationships with the children and other staff. Along with supporting this child, you will also be required to support the class teacher with basic classroom assistant roles like preparing resources etc.
The pay for the role is dependent of qualifications, experience, and references.
All applicants must be NVQ level 2 qualified (or above) in a relevant subject or have a minimum of 3 months experience within the last 5 years.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
