Are you passionate about education and helping young learners excel?
Zest Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5/6 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Cannock. This exciting role is scheduled from Tuesday to Friday and is set to begin in February 2024.
As a Year 5/6 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting both the teacher and students in the classroom. Your responsibilities will include providing one-on-one support to students, assisting with lesson planning and preparation, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
To be considered for this position, you must possess a level 2 or above qualification in childcare. This will ensure that you have a solid foundation in understanding child development and can effectively support students in their educational journey. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to commit to the role until the end of the academic year, fostering stability and continuity for the students.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them with classwork and assignments.
– Assist the class teacher with lesson planning and preparation.
– Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for students.
– Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
– Collaborate with other teaching assistants and staff members to ensure effective classroom management.
Qualifications and Skills:
– Level 2 or above qualification in childcare.
– Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
