Zest Education is thrilled to announce a fantastic job opportunity for a Year 5/6 Teacher to join a wonderful primary school in Swadlincote. This exciting role involves working with a mixed Year 5 and 6 class from Monday to Thursday on a weekly basis starting from September 2024 until December 2024, providing a unique and fulfilling teaching experience whilst achieving a desirable work life balance by working 4 days weekly.

Known for its innovative teaching methods and nurturing environment, this school stands out as a beacon of educational excellence in the community. With state-of-the-art facilities and a curriculum designed to cater to individual learning styles, this school provides a stimulating learning environment for students to explore their interests and reach their full potential.
The school are looking for a candidate who has a valid teaching status ( QTS) with prior experience working within a key stage 2 setting preferably with year 5 or 6. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for education, a strong understanding of the Year 5 and 6 curriculum, and excellent classroom management skills. As a Year 5/6 Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young minds, fostering a love for learning and helping students reach their full potential.
Teaching Responsibilities Role:
– Creating engaging lesson plans
– Providing constructive feedback to students
– Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching methods accordingly
– Collaborating with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies
– Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment
– Assessing student learning through various methods
– Communicating effectively with parents and guardians
The school are open to both applications from Early Career Teachers and Experienced teachers.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
