Year 4 Classroom Support

We are currently working with a friendly and welcoming school in the Stourbridge area who are looking for a year 4 teaching assistant. This will be on a full-time basis starting as soon as possible.

This school is proud of their balanced curriculum where children are encouraged to achieve their full potential, so someone that is motivating and willing to encourage the children to achieve this is essential to the school. They believe that children learn best when they are in a safe environment, so they work hard to provide an environment where everyone is happy, well-motivated and healthy.

This school aims to establish high expectations of behaviour and learning, so as a teaching assistant you will be expected to support the class teacher in promoting and maintaining these standards. You will also be expected to support the teacher in delivering creative lessons and working closely with any students that may require any extra support in the classroom. As you will be working closely alongside the teacher, you will be required to work well alongside other people and have great communication skills.

To be successful in this role you will have to have experience in a similar working environment with young children. You will also have to hold an enhanced DBS that is on the update service or be willing to obtain one.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
