Key Stage 2 PPA Teacher (0.8)

Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking a highly qualified and motivated Key Stage 2 PPA Teacher to join a dynamic team in a wonderful school in Smethwick. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher who is passionate about teaching whilst achieving a better work life balance. The position will require the successful candidate to begin December 2024 for at least two academic terms on a 4 day working week basis.

The successful candidate will be expected too:
– Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to Key Stage 2 students
– Providing PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) cover across different classes
– Collaborating with other teachers to ensure consistency and continuity in the curriculum
– Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing feedback, and reporting to parents and senior staff
– Creating engaging lesson plans and resources that cater to the varied learning needs of students
– Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student well-being and participation
– Participating in staff meetings, professional development activities, and school events as required

The successful candidate must :
– Be a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching Key Stage 2
– Have a strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment strategies
– Have exceptional communication and organizational skills
– Be able to work collaboratively within a team
– Be flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of students
– Have a genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for all students
– Valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
