Teacher of I.T.

Job Description

Zest Education is recruiting a dedicated Teacher of Information Technology to join our team. Starting in January 2025 at a popular secondary school in Castle Bromwich, you will play a key role in shaping the future of KS3 and KS4 students through your passion for IT education. As a pivotal member of our dynamic learning environment, you will have access to cutting-edge resources and a supportive leadership team that values student-centric decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
– Design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning styles, fostering student motivation and success in IT.
– Implement effective assessment strategies to track student progress and provide timely feedback for improvement.
– Stay abreast of advancements in the IT field to ensure a relevant and comprehensive curriculum.
– Utilise strong behaviour management skills to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, building meaningful relationships with students and colleagues.

To apply for this role, you will need:

  • QTS – Qualified Teacher status in Information Technology (ECT’s, formerly known as NQT’s, are encouraged to apply)
  • Excellent subject knowledge of IT curriculum in Key Stages 3 (KS3) and 4 (KS4) is essential
  • Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
  • A strong school reference from your recent employer/placement
