Kitchen Assistant

Job Description

Are you passionate about food preparation and looking for a rewarding opportunity in a school environment? We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team at a Secondary School in Chelmsley Wood. The position offers a part-time schedule between 10am and 2pm, Monday to Friday, starting in February 2025.

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the school’s catering team in providing nutritious meals to students and staff. While previous kitchen/catering experience is required, it does not have to be specific to school settings. If you have a love for cooking and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
– Assist in food preparation and cooking under the guidance of the Head Chef
– Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area
– Support with serving meals during lunch hours
– Follow health and safety guidelines at all times

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position is recent and relevant experience, ideally school-based within the last 5 years.
