Job Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in children’s lives through education? Zest is currently seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a charming school located in the heart of Yardley Wood.

As a teaching assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational development of pupils. We are looking for a versatile and dedicated individual who holds an NVQ Level 3 qualification or higher, with a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and phonics.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be adept at managing classroom behaviour effectively. Your role will involve working closely with both individual children and larger groups within the classroom setting. Experience in supporting EAL pupils is highly advantageous.

This is a full-time position with an immediate start date, offering the opportunity for long-term employment and potential for permanent placement for the right candidate. The contracted hours will be 8.20am – 3.40pm every Monday – Friday.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
