School Site Manager

Job Description

Zest Education are working closely with a primary school based in Cannock who are looking to recruit a school site manager. This is a full time temporary role, to start in April 2025 until at least December 2025 with the potential to be extended.

 

**Responsibilities:**

– Oversee the maintenance and security of the school premises, ensuring a safe and clean environment for staff and students.

– Manage a team of caretakers and cleaning staff, delegating responsibilities and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.

– Conduct regular inspections of the school grounds and buildings to identify and address any maintenance issues.

– Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers for repairs, maintenance work, and supplies.

– Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and policies.

– Manage the school budget for premises maintenance and facilities management.

– Act as the main point of contact for any premises-related issues and emergencies.

**Requirements:**

– Previous experience in premises management or a similar role within an educational setting.

– Strong organizational and leadership skills.

– Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

– Flexibility to respond to emergencies outside of normal working hours.
