Zest Education is currently recruiting for a School Science Technician on a long-term basis for a thriving school in Solihull. As a School Science Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the science department by preparing materials and equipment for practical lessons and experiments.
Duties of a School Science Technician:
1. Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science experiments.
2. Maintain and clean laboratory equipment to ensure they are in working order.
3. Order, receive, and store chemicals and other scientific supplies.
4. Assist teachers in demonstrations and experiments during lessons.
5. Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to in the science laboratory.
6. Help students to understand and follow safe laboratory practices.
7. Keep accurate records of materials used and equipment maintenance.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
