Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced School Attendance Officer to join a fantastic school in Lichfield. This is a long-term position for a candidate with prior school attendance experience.
Responsibilities:
– Monitoring and tracking student attendance records daily
– Investigating and addressing reasons for student absences
– Collaborating with parents, teachers, and administrators to improve attendance rates
– Implementing strategies and interventions to improve overall school attendance
– Providing support and guidance to students facing attendance challenges
– Maintaining accurate attendance records and reports
Qualifications:
– Previous experience as a School Attendance Officer
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
– Knowledge of attendance monitoring systems and procedures
– Excellent organisational and time management skills

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
