We are seeking an experienced Geography Teacher to join a secondary school in Derby. The position is available on a full-time basis, working within a supportive Humanities department. As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative lessons to students. The successful candidate will have a passion for Geography and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
– Planning and delivering Geography lessons
– Assessing and marking student work
– Monitoring and supporting the progress of students
– Collaborating with colleagues in the Humanities department
– Participating in departmental meetings and school events as required
Qualifications and Skills:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
– Strong subject knowledge in Geography or a related Humanities subject
– Experience teaching Geography or Humanities
– Excellent communication and organizational skills
– Ability to create a positive learning environment for students
