Job Description

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded school in Derby.

As a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in providing personalised support to a student with special educational needs. Working closely with both the pupil and the class teacher, you will help enhance their learning experience and ensure they reach their full potential.

This immediate start position is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive school environment. The role is temporary and will continue until the end of the academic year.

Key responsibilities:
– Providing tailored support to a student with special educational needs
– Collaborating with the class teacher to develop personalized learning strategies
– Monitoring and recording the student’s progress
– Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for the student

Requirements:
– Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– A patient and empathetic approach
– Relevant qualifications in education or equivalent experience

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
