Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Leicestershire.
Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEND, tailored to their individual needs.
Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
Foster a positive, nurturing learning environment that supports the emotional and educational development of each pupil.
Support classroom activities, supervision, and engagement in learning.
Maintain effective communication with teaching staff, SENCO, and parents/carers.
Previous experience working with children with SEND is essential.
Experience working within a school environment is required.
Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Relevant qualifications or training in SEND support (desirable but not essential).
Convenient hours: 8:00am – 3:00pm.
