Zest Education are proud to be supporting a small, nurturing primary school in Leicester, in their search for a compassionate and dedicated KS1 Teacher. This is a brilliant opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and wants to make a lasting impact within a supportive, community-driven environment.

The Role:

In this role, you’ll be leading a KS1 class, with a key focus on fostering a positive and inclusive learning space. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of all pupils

  • Providing tailored support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring every child feels valued and able to succeed

  • Working closely with teaching assistants and SEN specialists to create effective support strategies

  • Managing classroom routines, daily admin tasks, and tracking pupil progress

  • Building strong relationships with families, keeping them involved in their child’s journey

  • Creating a safe and encouraging environment where social, emotional, and academic growth are equally prioritised

About You:

  • You are passionate about inclusive education and understand the importance of adapting teaching approaches to support children with SEN

  • You’re patient, empathetic, and skilled at creating a calm, structured classroom atmosphere

  • Experience working with children who have additional learning needs is highly desirable

  • You are proactive, organised, and work well as part of a collaborative team

  • You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
