Zest Education is currently working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Leicestershire to recruit a committed Year 2 Teacher with strong SEN experience for a September 2025 start.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and inclusive school through a trusted local education agency. The role is ideal for a qualified teacher with a passion for Key Stage 1 and the skills to support children with additional needs in a mainstream classroom.
Teaching a Year 2 class, delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
Supporting children with a range of special educational needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties)
Working closely with the school’s SENCO, TAs, and pastoral staff
Creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for all pupils
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
Recent experience teaching in KS1 (ideally Year 2)
Demonstrated experience supporting pupils with SEN
Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Zest Education)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
