Zest Education is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Loughborough to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This full-time role will begin in September 2025.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children thrive—especially those who need a little extra support to succeed. You’ll work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to ensure that every child receives the tailored support they need to flourish.
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a variety of SEN (including autism, ADHD, and communication needs)
Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering personalised learning activities
Foster a positive and nurturing environment for learning
Help pupils develop social skills, confidence, and independence
Monitor progress and contribute to regular reviews with staff and parents
Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school, care, or nursery setting
A caring, patient, and adaptable nature
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A proactive and hands-on attitude
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply through Zest Education)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
