EYFS Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Are you a passionate and dedicated teaching assistant looking to make a difference in the lives of young learners? Zest Education is currently seeking a teaching assistant to join the early years team at a brilliant Derby primary school. This position is available from September until the end of the first half term.

The school, located in the heart of the community, is committed to the success and well-being of its pupils. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support the class teacher, engage with children through learning through play, assist in their growth and development, and maintain a supportive learning environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**
– Support the class teacher in educational activities
– Engage with children through learning through play
– Support children in their growth and development
– Maintain a tidy and supportive learning environment

**Ideal Candidate:**
– Level 3 qualification preferred
– Previous experience in a primary school or nursery setting
– Understanding of safeguarding procedures
– Hold or be willing to obtain a DBS check

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
