Zest Education is working with a well-regarded primary school in Loughborough to recruit a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join their team immediately. This is a full-time position with working hours from 8:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. For the right candidate, there is a strong chance of the role becoming permanent from September.
Take full responsibility for planning, delivering, and assessing a broad and engaging Year 6 curriculum
Prepare pupils for SATs, supporting them academically and emotionally during this key transition year
Foster an inclusive, supportive, and positive classroom environment
Liaise effectively with parents, SLT, and support staff to track progress and address individual needs
Be an integral part of a collaborative and committed KS2 team
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching in Upper KS2, ideally with Year 6 or SATs preparation
Demonstrate strong classroom management and high expectations for behaviour and achievement
Be flexible, enthusiastic, and committed to helping every child succeed
Have a current DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply through Zest Education)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
