Zest Education is proud to be working with a well-established SEN school in Derby, seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of pupils with additional needs.
The school supports children and young people with a wide range of needs including autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, and moderate to severe learning difficulties. The ideal candidate will be creative, adaptable, and passionate about inclusive education.
Deliver engaging, individualised lessons to small groups or 1:1.
Adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs and EHCP targets.
Work closely with teaching assistants and external professionals.
Create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment.
QTS or QTLS is essential.
Previous experience in an SEN or inclusive setting is highly desirable.
Strong behaviour management and excellent interpersonal skills.
A patient, calm, and positive teaching approach.
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one via Zest). What We Offer:

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
