Job Description

Zest Education is working in partnership with a vibrant and well-regarded primary school in Leicester to recruit a dedicated and motivated Year 6 Teacher for a full-time role starting in September 2025. This role offers a temp-to-perm pathway, making it ideal for someone looking to establish themselves in a long-term teaching position.

 About the Role:

As the Year 6 class teacher, you will:

  • Take full responsibility for delivering a broad and engaging Key Stage 2 curriculum, with a focus on preparing pupils for their transition to secondary school

  • Support children in achieving their end-of-Key Stage 2 assessments (SATs) with targeted teaching and intervention

  • Deliver high-quality lessons tailored to a range of abilities, including pupils with SEND or EAL

  • Build a positive classroom culture that encourages independence, resilience, and enthusiasm for learning

  • Collaborate with colleagues, leadership, and support staff to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment

 What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE with relevant KS2 teaching experience
 Proven ability (or strong potential) to teach effectively in Year 6, particularly around SATs preparation
 Excellent behaviour management and strong curriculum knowledge
 Passion for helping children grow academically and emotionally during this key transitional year
 SEND experience or understanding is desirable
