Zest Education is proud to be working with a small, welcoming primary school in Derby to recruit a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.
This is a full-time role supporting pupils in the Early Years Foundation Stage, working closely with the class teacher to create a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
Supporting the learning and development of children aged 3–5
Delivering small group and 1:1 activities based on EYFS curriculum
Assisting with classroom preparation, behaviour management, and pastoral care
Encouraging social development and independence through play and structured activities
A small, close-knit primary school with a supportive staff team
Located in Derby with excellent public transport links
On-site parking available for staff
Strong community ethos and focus on early childhood development
Opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate
Previous experience working within EYFS or with early learners is essential
A relevant TA qualification (Level 2 or 3) is highly desirable
Passionate about helping children thrive in their early years
Patient, caring, and able to work well in a team

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
