Teaching Assistant KS2 – Stone

Job Description

Start date: September 2025
Full-time | Long-term role

Are you a supportive and enthusiastic individual with a passion for helping children succeed? Zest Education is working closely with a welcoming primary school in Stone, Staffordshire, to find a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a real difference in the classroom while developing their skills in a supportive school environment.

About the Role:

You’ll be working alongside the class teacher to support pupils in Years 3 to 6, helping to deliver lessons, provide targeted support, and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the delivery of engaging lessons across KS2

  • Working with small groups and individual pupils to support learning

  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour positively and effectively

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs, both academically and emotionally

  • Collaborating with teachers and staff to support pupil progress

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children (in a school or similar setting such as a Nursery)

  • A calm, encouraging, and flexible approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine interest in education and pupil development

  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning)

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
