Zest Education is delighted to be recruiting for a Year 2 SEND Teacher on behalf of a small, nurturing primary school in Loughborough. This is a full-time role starting in September 2025, with working hours from 8am to 3pm and the opportunity to transition into a permanent role.
This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to meeting the individual needs of pupils with special educational needs. You will be teaching a small Year 2 class that includes children with a range of SEND, supported by experienced teaching assistants and a forward-thinking leadership team.
Planning and delivering tailored lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
Supporting pupils with varying needs, including SEMH, ASD, and speech and language difficulties
Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Working collaboratively with SENCOs, support staff, and families
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
Experience teaching Key Stage 1, ideally with SEND involvement
A patient, nurturing, and creative approach to teaching
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
