Zest Education is currently working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Dudley to recruit a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to a pupil with additional needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate and experienced teaching assistant who is passionate about making a real difference in a child’s educational journey. The role will involve working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school staff to help the pupil thrive both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing focused, one-to-one support for a pupil with identified additional needs.
Supporting the child’s learning, communication, and personal development in line with their tailored plan.
Helping the pupil to engage in classroom activities and build positive relationships with peers.
Implementing strategies recommended by SEN specialists and external professionals.
Liaising regularly with teaching staff and parents to share progress and adjust support as needed.
Requirements:
A Level 2 (or higher) Teaching Assistant qualification is highly desirable.
Experience supporting children with SEND or working in a 1:1 role is essential.
A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to learning support.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with a wider team.

Zest Education are an APSCo audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
