1:1 Teaching Assistant – Dudley

Zest Education is currently working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Dudley to recruit a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to a pupil with additional needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate and experienced teaching assistant who is passionate about making a real difference in a child’s educational journey. The role will involve working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school staff to help the pupil thrive both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing focused, one-to-one support for a pupil with identified additional needs.

  • Supporting the child’s learning, communication, and personal development in line with their tailored plan.

  • Helping the pupil to engage in classroom activities and build positive relationships with peers.

  • Implementing strategies recommended by SEN specialists and external professionals.

  • Liaising regularly with teaching staff and parents to share progress and adjust support as needed.

Requirements:

  • A Level 2 (or higher) Teaching Assistant qualification is highly desirable.

  • Experience supporting children with SEND or working in a 1:1 role is essential.

  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to learning support.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with a wider team.
