We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a Key Stage 1 pupil with special educational needs. This role involves working closely with teaching staff to deliver personalised learning support, helping the pupil access the curriculum and develop essential skills in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide consistent one-to-one support to a KS1 pupil with SEN
Assist in implementing tailored learning plans and activities
Support the pupil’s social, emotional, and behavioural development
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals
Help foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive classroom atmosphere
Monitor and report on the pupil’s progress and wellbeing
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience working within SEN settings is essential
Experience supporting young children, preferably KS1, with special educational needs
Strong understanding of SEN strategies and approaches
Patient, compassionate, and adaptable to the needs of the pupil
Reliable, proactive, and a team player
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Ability to work full-time, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
