Level 3 Nursery Practitioner – Stafford
Start Date: August 2025
Contract: Part Time

Zest Education is currently recruiting for a passionate, nurturing, and qualified Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming and well-established early years setting within a nursery school in Stafford. This rewarding role is set to begin in August 2025.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a vibrant early years team in a setting that truly values play, exploration, and the power of early learning. The school has been rated ‘GOOD’ by Ofsted and is celebrated for its inclusive ethos, excellent pastoral care, and commitment to delivering high-quality early childhood education in a safe, creative, and stimulating environment.

About the Nursery:

The setting follows a child-centred approach, recognising the unique potential of every child. Through a blend of structured activities, open-ended exploration, and outdoor learning, the nursery encourages curiosity, independence, and confidence from an early age.

  • A strong focus on early language development, emotional wellbeing, and social interaction

  • A carefully planned, play-based curriculum aligned with the EYFS framework

  • Spacious indoor and outdoor learning areas, with access to nature-based and sensory play opportunities

  • Supportive leadership and a collaborative staff team committed to professional development

Your Role as a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner:

As a Nursery Practitioner, you’ll play a vital role in supporting children aged 2–4 in their learning and development journey. Working alongside other early years professionals, you’ll help create a warm, secure environment where children feel valued, supported, and inspired to learn.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

  • Supporting children’s personal, social, and emotional development

  • Encouraging independence through practical routines and play

  • Planning and delivering meaningful activities in line with the EYFS

  • Carrying out observations and contributing to child development records

  • Promoting high standards of care, hygiene, and safety at all times

  • Supporting children with additional needs and ensuring inclusive practice

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will:

  • Hold a Level 3 Early Years Qualification (e.g. NVQ, or equivalent)

  • Have recent, relevant experience working in an early years setting

  • Bring a kind, calm, and nurturing approach to working with young children

  • Communicate clearly and confidently with both children and adults

  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for learning and a proactive, team-oriented mindset

  • Be flexible, imaginative, and responsive in supporting every child’s individual needs

  • Understand safeguarding and child protection protocols (training can be provided if needed)

Why Join Through Zest Education?

  • A dedicated consultant who understands early years settings and your career goals

  • Competitive daily rates, paid weekly

  • Support throughout your placement, from application to post-placement feedback

  • Opportunities for long-term roles in well-regarded settings
