Are you a passionate and dedicated Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in education? Zest Education is working with a number of fantastic primary schools across Derby and the surrounding areas who are looking for skilled Teaching Assistants to start in September 2025.

These schools are committed to helping every child reach their full potential, and they need enthusiastic, experienced Teaching Assistants to join their teams.

What the role includes:

As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons.

  • Working with children on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to provide tailored support.

  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Assisting with classroom management and lesson preparation.

  • Supporting pupils with additional learning needs to ensure they have equal access to the curriculum.

 

What we’re looking for:

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).

  • Have previous experience working in a primary school setting.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication, patience, and organisational skills.

  • Show initiative and flexibility in supporting children across a range of abilities and needs.

  • Be committed to making a difference in children’s learning and development.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
