Zest Education is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic Tamworth primary school from September 2025. This is a full-time role for the duration of the autumn term, with the potential for extension depending on performance and school needs.

As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will play a vital role in the classroom, supporting both the class teacher and pupils to ensure the best possible learning outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting teaching and learning activities under the direction of the class teacher
Assisting individual pupils or small groups, including those with additional needs
Helping to create a stimulating and safe learning environment
Supporting classroom management and promoting positive behaviour
Preparing resources and helping with administrative tasks
We are looking for someone who is passionate about education and ready to make a positive impact in the classroom. The ideal candidate will have:
A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Experience working in a primary school setting, ideally within Key Stage 2
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A patient, positive, and proactive attitude
The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
A good understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
