Primary Teaching Assistant – Rugeley
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Until October half term (with potential for extension)

Zest Education are proud to be working with a welcoming primary school in Rugeley, who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time role that will run until the end of the first half term, with a strong possibility of being extended.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils and teaching staff within the classroom. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Working with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs to access the curriculum

  • Assisting the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons

  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment

  • Providing emotional and pastoral support when needed

Teaching Assistants are a vital part of the school community, helping to raise educational achievement and promote pupil development.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Level 3 qualified (preferred)

  • Experienced in working within a primary school setting (required)

  • Patient, reliable, and enthusiastic about supporting children’s learning

  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents

  • Confident in managing behaviour in a calm and effective manner

  • Flexible and adaptable to the needs of the school

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
