Primary Teaching Assistant – Rugeley
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Until October half term (with potential for extension)
Zest Education are proud to be working with a welcoming primary school in Rugeley, who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time role that will run until the end of the first half term, with a strong possibility of being extended.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils and teaching staff within the classroom. Your responsibilities may include:
Working with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning
Supporting pupils with additional needs to access the curriculum
Assisting the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons
Helping to manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
Providing emotional and pastoral support when needed
Teaching Assistants are a vital part of the school community, helping to raise educational achievement and promote pupil development.
We are looking for someone who is:
Level 3 qualified (preferred)
Experienced in working within a primary school setting (required)
Patient, reliable, and enthusiastic about supporting children’s learning
Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
Confident in managing behaviour in a calm and effective manner
Flexible and adaptable to the needs of the school

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
