Teaching Assistant – Overseal
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Until October half term (with potential for extension)

Zest Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Overseal, who are seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This full-time position will run until the October half term, with the possibility of extension depending on school requirements.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting both pupils and staff in the classroom. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Working with small groups or individual pupils to support learning

  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management

  • Supporting children with additional or special educational needs

  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Providing emotional and behavioural support as needed

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Level 3 qualified (preferred)

  • Experienced working in a primary school setting

  • Patient, enthusiastic, and supportive in their approach to working with children

  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

  • Proactive and flexible in adapting to the needs of the school

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
