Zest Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Leicester from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a meaningful impact in a school setting — whether you’re experienced in education or looking to take your first step into the classroom.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 or small group basis
Assist with the delivery of lessons and help pupils stay engaged and on track
Provide support to children with a range of learning needs (including SEN where required)
Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Support teachers with classroom management and daily routines
Assist with preparing resources and setting up activities
✅ Experience working with children or young people in schools, nurseries, or youth settings
✅ Patient, reliable, and adaptable to different learning styles and needs
✅ A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
✅ A positive attitude and a genuine passion for helping children achieve their best
✅ Relevant qualifications in education or childcare (desirable but not essential)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
