Teaching Assistant – Atherstone 

Location: Atherstone
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Until October Half Term (with potential for extension)

Zest Education is currently recruiting a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Atherstone from September 2025. This position will run until the October half term, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and school needs.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils and teachers in the classroom. You will assist in delivering high-quality education by working with individuals or small groups of children to reinforce learning, promote positive behaviour, and help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment. You may be required to support pupils with additional needs, contribute to planning and assessment, and assist with classroom management.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build experience in a supportive school environment while making a real difference in pupils’ education.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent) – preferred

  • Experience working in a primary school setting

  • A patient, positive, and proactive attitude

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to build relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

  • Knowledge of the primary curriculum and how to support learning effectively

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

  • An enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
