Zest Education is working in partnership with a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school to recruit a passionate and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join their Humanities department from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a thriving learning environment.
As a Geography Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, with potential for Key Stage 5
Encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the world
Creating a stimulating classroom environment and using varied teaching strategies
Assessing and tracking student progress, and providing constructive feedback
Supporting the wider school community, including extracurricular activities or trips
Working collaboratively within a committed Humanities faculty
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE (Geography specialism preferred)
✅ Strong knowledge of the Geography curriculum at secondary level
✅ Excellent communication and classroom management skills
✅ Enthusiastic, organised, and committed to student progress
✅ Suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs seeking a supportive start

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
