Zest Education is working with a number of welcoming and well-resourced schools in Leicester, who are looking to appoint passionate and reliable Teaching Assistants for September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference to young people’s learning and development.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils in their day-to-day learning across a range of subjects
Work 1:1 with pupils or in small groups to reinforce class learning
Help manage behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
Assist the class teacher with classroom organisation and lesson preparation
Support pupils with additional needs, including those with SEN (where applicable)
Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
✅ Previous experience working with children or young people (in a school, nursery, youth work or tutoring)
✅ A positive, patient, and flexible approach
✅ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✅ Understanding of safeguarding and child development
✅ Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, childcare, or education) are desirable but not essential

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
