Zest Education is working with a well-regarded secondary school in Derby seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students and deliver a dynamic English curriculum in a supportive environment.
Plan and teach engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, with potential to teach KS5
Encourage students to develop strong literacy, analytical, and writing skills
Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback
Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and extra-curricular activities
Support the wider school community through events and clubs
Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive learning environment
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in English
✅ Strong subject knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 English curriculum
✅ Effective classroom management and behaviour strategies
✅ Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities
✅ Suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs
✅ Team player with excellent communication and organisational skills
