Sports Coach – Secondary School – Bilston

Zest Education is proud to be working in partnership with a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Bilston, and we are currently looking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Sports Coach to support PE lessons and extracurricular activities across KS3 and KS4.
As a Sports Coach, you’ll play a key role in motivating students to stay active and develop key skills in teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition. You’ll be supporting the PE department with both lesson delivery and after-school sports clubs. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to gain hands-on experience in a school setting – whether you’re an aspiring PE teacher or already experienced in youth coaching.
Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging PE lessons
Organise and supervise extracurricular sports clubs and fixtures
Provide support to students of all abilities and promote positive participation
Manage student behaviour in line with the school’s policies
Act as a role model and encourage healthy, active lifestyles
A background in sports coaching or physical education
Experience working with children or young people (school, coaching, youth work)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A genuine passion for sport and working with young people
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one through Zest Education)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
