Zest Education is currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a warm and inclusive school setting in Leicester from September 2025. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs, looking to make a meaningful impact every day.
Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN), such as autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language difficulties
Help pupils access learning and overcome barriers in a calm, nurturing way
Support with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and specialists to meet each child’s individual needs
Adapt resources and activities to ensure inclusion and progress
Foster a safe, encouraging, and positive classroom environment
✅ Experience supporting children with SEN in educational or care settings
✅ Understanding of key SEN strategies and behaviour support techniques
✅ Patient, reliable, and committed to helping all pupils succeed
✅ Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3, a teaching assistant certificate, or psychology-related studies are beneficial
✅ Able to follow guidance and work effectively as part of a team
✅ Enthusiastic and passionate about inclusive education

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
